About this opportunity
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is conducting market research through an RFI to identify qualified vendors for routine, preventive, and as-needed maintenance and repair services on Lenco BearCat armored vehicles, with responses due by June 1, 2026. No set-aside applies.
Place of performance spans all U.S. states and territories, with emphasis on 56 FBI Field Office locations nationwide, including remote sites in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Anchorage, Alaska; and Honolulu, Hawaii.
The FBI currently operates 55 BearCats, 10 on-loan Roshel Senators, and anticipates delivery of 20 additional BearCats no later than March 2028. Scope includes routine scheduled maintenance (oil and filter changes, brake service, suspension inspections, HVAC service, fluid checks, battery testing, tire rotation and replacement, Ford F-550 chassis diagnostics); as-needed repairs (engine diagnostics, transmission and drivetrain repair, electrical troubleshooting, armor panel inspection and repair, door and hinge repair, lighting and communications system repair, welding and fabrication, ballistic glass replacement); parts and materials procurement (OEM or OEM-approved components and specialty armored vehicle parts); and optional capabilities including mobile repair services, 24/7 emergency support, vehicle recovery and towing, and pickup and delivery.
The FBI prefers a single nationwide support model but may consider regional or state-by-state coverage aligned with Field Office Areas of Responsibility if nationwide coverage is unavailable. Vendors must demonstrate Ford Commercial Service Center-level maintenance expertise and armor-specific repair coordination with Lenco. Responses must address nationwide coverage capability, armored or tactical vehicle maintenance experience, OEM authorizations, Ford partnership status, certifications, facility locations, service radius, and mobile repair capability. Responses are limited to 10 pages in PDF format and should include rough order of magnitude pricing for labor rates, routine maintenance packages, and service plans.
