About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is soliciting for the purchase of one RF Signal Generator to replace the existing Dielectric Resonator Oscillator (DRO) currently used as an RF source for the Compact Radome Range (CRR) at Tinker Air Force Base. The signal generator must meet specific technical requirements including a frequency range of 1 GHz to 20 GHz, maximum output power greater than +30 dBm, fine frequency resolution, and low phase noise capabilities. The equipment must support multiple modulation types including AM, FM, PM, and pulse modulation, along with remote control capabilities via LAN/USB/GPIB and self-calibration features. The procurement will be evaluated based on the equipment's ability to improve power stability, linearity, repeatability, and provide calibration capabilities for the RF signal source. Proposals are due by January 22, 2026, with the solicitation having been posted on January 8, 2026.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and the current incumbent is the existing Dielectric Resonator Oscillator supplier, though replacement is the objective. The contract will include services and support comprising a warranty, first-year support, three-year calibration support, and start-up assistance. The specific award value or budget range has not been disclosed in the available solicitation documents. The requirement is for a single RF Signal Generator unit with a compact, rack-mountable form factor and an intuitive user interface. Performance of work will take place at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where the equipment will be integrated into the Compact Radome Range testing infrastructure operated by the 76th CMXG.
