About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Test Center is procuring the installation of external control buttons for security drop arms at Edwards Air Force Base entry gates through solicitation FA930125Q0036. The project requires installing ten external control buttons, one for each lane, that are compatible with the existing FAAC gate control system to allow gate guards to directly raise and lower drop arms independently. The contractor must provide buttons that are clearly labeled, durable, weather-resistant, and fully compatible with the current system, with installation performed by qualified FAAC system technicians. The contract will be awarded on a best value basis, evaluating price, supply features, delivery terms, and warranty terms, with offerors required to submit a technical capability narrative not exceeding ten pages. Quotations are due by Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 12:00 PM PDT, with a performance period of 60 days after receipt of order.

This requirement is designated as a small business set-aside under NAICS code 332510 (Hardware Manufacturing) with a size standard of 750 employees. No incumbent contractor is identified in the solicitation documents, and no specific contract value or budget range is disclosed in the available materials. The project involves exactly ten drop arm locations requiring button installation, with the 60-day performance timeline beginning after contract award. All work will be performed at Edwards Air Force Base in California, and the government has indicated that site visits are not possible due to the compressed timeline before award. The solicitation follows commercial item acquisition procedures and requires contractors to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.
