About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research to identify potential vendors with surplus C-130 Pressure Indicators (NSN 6620-01-394-4019 LG, PN 10401N01P00). This cockpit-mounted indicator displays fuel tank pump output pressure ranging from zero to 50 PSI for the aircraft fuel system cross feed manifold. The Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract under Other Than Full and Open Competition provisions (FAR 6.302-1), as the original equipment manufacturer, Ametek, Inc., is no longer willing to produce the item and the government lacks access to its technical data. The government's requirement is strictly limited to surplus assets in new, unused condition due to technical specifications. Interested parties must submit their capabilities and interest by November 22, 2025, via email to Janet Harvey at janet.harvey.3@us.af.mil, with this pre-solicitation notice serving as an informational market research document rather than a formal solicitation or commitment to award.
This pre-solicitation notice does not include any small business set-aside designations. Ametek, Inc. (CAGE 61349) is identified as the original equipment manufacturer and the intended sole source awardee for contract performance. The government has not disclosed specific award values, budget ranges, or quantities of pressure indicators required for this procurement. This market research effort is being conducted to determine whether alternative vendors exist with surplus inventory before finalizing the sole source contract award to Ametek, Inc. The notice emphasizes that responses are informational in nature, no funds are available for proposal preparation, and the government incurs no obligation to award a contract based on submitted responses.
