About this opportunity

The Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) is conducting market research to identify potential vendors with surplus C-130 Pressure Indicators, a specific cockpit-mounted instrument used to display fuel tank pump output pressure. The specific National Stock Number (NSN) for this item is 6620-01-394-4019 LG, with a Part Number 10401N01P00, and the item is designed to measure fuel system cross feed manifold pressure between zero and 50 PSI. The original equipment manufacturer, Ametek, Inc., is no longer willing to produce this item, and the government does not possess the technical data necessary for independent production. Interested vendors must have surplus assets in new, unused condition and can submit their capabilities and interest via email to Tyler Martens by June 4, 2025. The AFSC intends to award a sole-source contract to Ametek, Inc. using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1.

This market research opportunity is not set aside for any specific business category and is classified under NAICS code 334511 for Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing. While no specific award value or quantity is mentioned in the pre-solicitation notice, the procurement is specifically for the C-130 aircraft program. The government emphasizes that this request for information is strictly for market research purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation or commitment to contract award. No funds are available to compensate vendors for response preparation, and any submitted information will be treated voluntarily. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on May 20, 2025, with a response deadline of June 4, 2025, targeting vendors who can provide the specific pressure indicator in new, unused condition.
