About this opportunity

The Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP), is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) and virtual Industry Day for a future contract opportunity to provide comprehensive pharmacy benefits management (PBM) services. The PBM services will cover OWCP's four major compensation programs - Black Lung, Energy Employees Occupational Illness, Federal Employees' Compensation, and Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation. Key contract requirements include managing pharmacy networks, providing customer support, processing claims, establishing fee schedules, monitoring for fraud/waste/abuse, and offering durable medical equipment, diagnostic services, and specialty pharmacy services. The government has provided a draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Technical Exhibits outlining the detailed requirements and performance standards, and is seeking industry feedback through a series of one-on-one virtual sessions scheduled for June 17-28, 2024. Responses to the RFI are due by June 25, 2024.

This contract opportunity is not set-aside for any specific business category. The current incumbent or contractor details are not provided. The government has not disclosed any specific award value or budget range for this future contract. However, the PBM services are expected to be fully implemented within one year of contract award.
