About this opportunity

The 187th Operations Support Squadron (OPS) of the Alabama Army National Guard, located in Montgomery, Alabama, has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole-source contract to Senergy Power Solutions for an upgraded Kubota Lowboy diesel generator. This Notice of Intent to Award is being pursued under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, which permits sole-source contracting when only one responsible source exists and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The contract will be firm-fixed-price in nature, and the government has determined that Senergy Power Solutions uniquely possesses the capability to fulfill this requirement. The special notice was posted on April 7, 2026, with a due date of April 17, 2026. This opportunity falls under the Motor and Generator Manufacturing category (NAICS 335312) and involves electrical equipment in the PSC 3410 classification.

The primary objective of this sole-source contract is to procure a new, upgraded Kubota Lowboy diesel generator that must be fully integrated with the existing KRAYT system and incorporated into Senergy Power Solutions' proprietary Containerized Hybrid Integrated Power System (CHIPS). The generator requires specific, proprietary modifications and custom design elements, including an upgraded custom fuel tank designed to fit existing equipment, which only the original equipment manufacturer can perform while maintaining system compatibility and operational integrity. Senergy Power Solutions is considered the sole capable provider due to its exclusive access to the proprietary technology, specialized expertise, and proprietary knowledge of the KRAYT electrical system and CHIPS architecture necessary for seamless integration. Interested parties have until April 17, 2026, to submit any relevant information or documentation. This is a non-competitive procurement, meaning only Senergy Power Solutions is eligible to be awarded the contract based on the government's determination of its unique qualifications and exclusive technological capabilities.
