About this opportunity

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Pakistan has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to obtain baseline information from local Pakistani organizations and conduct market research to design a series of customized workshops. The workshops aim to (1) provide guidance to local organizations on how to work with USAID, (2) build the capacity of local organizations to play a leading role in USAID's development process in Pakistan, and (3) enable local organizations to be better positioned for future co-creation efforts. The RFI requests interested organizations to submit information on their registration status, geographic focus, sector expertise, areas of expertise, ongoing or completed projects, and willingness to attend and cover costs for the workshops, which will be held in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Islamabad. The information gathered will be used to design the workshop series, which will complement USAID/Pakistan's localization strategy.

This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a funding opportunity or solicitation. There is no set-aside designation, and the RFI does not mention any potential incumbents or current contractors. The RFI does not provide any information on the potential award values or budget ranges, nor does it specify the quantity of goods or timeline for services.

Notice text

The purpose of this RFI is to obtain baseline information from local organizations and conduct market research to design a series of workshops customized to the Pakistani context that aims to:

(1) provide different ways and avenues for Pakistani organizations on how to work with USAID,

(2) build the capacity of local organizations to take a leading role in USAID’s development process in Pakistan, and

(3) enable local organizations to be better placed for future co-creation. Co-creation is defined as a participatory design process that aims to produce better outcomes by tapping into ideas, resources, energy of people and organizations that share a stake in the solution of the program.

These series of workshops will complement the Mission Pakistan’s localization strategy that seeks to enable local actors to set their own agendas, develop solutions and bring their leadership and resources to make those solutions a reality.
