About this opportunity

The U.S. Coast Guard has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking industry input on facilities capable of providing equipment storage and access services for Coast Guard surface asset equipment. The RFI aims to identify commercial warehousing and storage capabilities that can handle, store, protect, and provide third-party maintenance access for a wide range of marine equipment including propulsion engines, generators, pumps, hydraulic systems, and boat handling equipment weighing up to 120,000 pounds and measuring up to 20 feet tall. Desired facilities must be located near Pascagoula, MS; Curtis Bay, MD; Charleston, SC; Alameda, CA; Panama City, FL; or Mobile, AL and provide climate-controlled storage with consistent temperature and humidity control, fire suppression systems, electrical infrastructure, and security monitoring. Companies must demonstrate capabilities in warehouse operations, dedicated secure storage with electrical infrastructure for equipment hotel services, and space for third-party preservation maintenance activities. Responses to this market research RFI are due by June 30, 2025, and must be submitted electronically to Gregory.J.Foster@uscg.mil.

This RFI does not include any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the notice. The government has not disclosed any budget ranges or potential award values for future contracting opportunities that may result from this market research effort. Facilities should provide up to 60,000 square feet of storage space and be capable of accommodating the extensive list of Coast Guard surface asset equipment components. The RFI explicitly states that it does not constitute a promise to issue a future Request for Proposal and that the government will not compensate companies for costs associated with responding to this information request. Companies are advised that failure to respond to this RFI will not preclude participation in any future solicitation that may be issued.
