About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Procurement Operations, is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) on behalf of the DHS Science and Technology Directorate, Office of Mission and Capability Support, for the Response and Defeat Operations Support (REDOPS) program. The REDOPS program supports public safety bomb technicians and aims to address Improvised Explosive Device (IED) response and defeat capability gaps. The RFI seeks to understand the capabilities of small businesses to provide fair and unbiased operational assessments of technologies, assess comparative functionality and interoperability, and conduct capabilities assessments to enhance mission execution for Bomb Technicians and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team communities. DHS S&T is conducting market research for a potential REDOPS services contract vehicle, and interested parties are invited to submit narrative information on their business capabilities, similar past work experience, and their perspective on addressing emerging threats.

The RFI is not set aside for any particular business size or type. There is no information provided on potential incumbents or current contractors. The RFI does not specify any award values or budget ranges, and the period of performance is a 1-year base period with four 1-year option periods, as outlined in the attached Statement of Work.
