About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base is seeking information from contractors, particularly within the TSA IV Small Business Pool, to provide engineering and manufacturing development, continued production, operations, maintenance, and sustainment of the KC-46 Aircrew Training System (ATS). The government is interested in learning which contractors have the capability to meet the program requirements, including the provision of various training devices, support for training sites, and contractor logistics support, over the period of January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2036. Contractors are asked to provide information on their relevant experience, timelines, and costs to meet these requirements, with responses due by December 20, 2024. This market research will help the government determine if the effort will be set aside for small businesses or competed under the unrestricted pool.
There is no set-aside designation for this pre-solicitation, and the government has not identified any potential incumbents or current contractors. While the exact award value is not specified, the government is seeking information to support the KC-46 ATS program, which is expected to have a significant budget over the 10-year period covered by the requirement. The RFI indicates the government is looking to support training at multiple locations, with an expectation of high annual student throughput, highlighting the scale of this potential acquisition.
