About this opportunity
The Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), procuring on behalf of the Army Sustainment Command, is conducting market research on enterprise-wide consolidated laundry and dry-cleaning services with responses due June 8, 2026.
The Army seeks to consolidate laundry and dry-cleaning operations currently managed through individual contracts at 16 separate installations: Presidio of Monterey, Fort Hood, Fort Bragg, Fort Hunter Liggett, Fort Bliss, Fort McCoy, Fort Rucker, Fort Meade, Fort Gordon, Fort Knox, Fort Huachuca, Fort Devens, Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Jackson, Fort Sill, and Fort Benning. The Army is exploring an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) or Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) vehicle with fixed-price-per-piece pricing.
Required services include pickup, laundering, dry cleaning, folding, bundling, repair, and delivery of government-owned linens, uniforms, Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment, and other textiles. The contractor must meet a three-business-day turnaround standard and provide same-day military funeral uniform service. All work requires compliance with federal, state, local, and military regulations, including security and personnel requirements for installation access.
The RFI requests feedback on corporate capability and DoD contracting history; technical and operational approach including inventory tracking and government-furnished property management; consolidation strategy preferences (prime versus subcontractor role, optimal installation groupings); and socioeconomic considerations including capacity to perform as prime contractor for all 16 locations and compliance with limitations on subcontracting.
This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a binding commitment to procure. Potential offerors should monitor sam.gov for future formal solicitation release.
