About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground is seeking market research on electrochemiluminescence (ECL) multiplex assay kits through a Request for Information (RFI) issued on December 18, 2025. The consumable kits must be capable of identifying microbial toxins, specifically Ricin, Botulinum, and Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B (SEB), and must support government-furnished antibodies for both capture and detection functions. The kits must also demonstrate compatibility with Meso Scale Diagnostics (MSD) PR2 1800 and/or SQ 120 analyzers. Interested vendors must submit responses limited to five pages by 5:00 PM EDT on January 16, 2026, addressing company details, technical capabilities, product information, manufacturing readiness, production rates, and analyzer compatibility confirmations. This RFI is explicitly for market research and planning purposes only, and the government will not award a contract or reimburse response preparation costs based on submissions received. The contracting officers managing this RFI are Jemel Hogan and Sarah Eggerling.

This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and involves no identified incumbent contractors or award value information. The RFI does not specify quantities, delivery timelines, or production schedules, as it remains in the exploratory market research phase designed to assess vendor capabilities and product availability. No potential award amounts are disclosed at this pre-solicitation stage. Vendors interested in this procurement should note that the RFI response represents preliminary market intelligence gathering and does not constitute a formal solicitation or commitment to procure. The NAICS classification is 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing), and responses should be submitted electronically to the designated contracting officers at Aberdeen Proving Ground.
