About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking engineering support services for investigating and resolving Deficiency Reports (DR) for the ALR-56C, ALR-56DU, and ALR-56M Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) systems used on F-15, F-16, and C-130 aircraft. The primary location for these services will be Robins AFB, GA, with potential work to be accomplished at the contractor's location as needed. Key contract requirements include investigating and correcting software and hardware anomalies, conducting test verticality assessments between maintenance levels, and managing software configuration and versions. Potential contractors must demonstrate expertise in electronic warfare, RF/digital circuit design, technical documentation interpretation, and troubleshooting, with a minimum of 5 years' experience with ALR-56 systems. The Request for Information (RFI) requires responses within 30 days of posting, with submissions to be sent to the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) Michael Wensjoe and Program Manager Calvin Harley.
The procurement opportunity is not set aside for any specific business category, and both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, including joint ventures and teaming arrangements. BAE is identified as the original equipment manufacturer, and the government does not currently own complete technical data for these systems. Contractors must possess quality management system certifications such as AS9100 or ISO 9001 and demonstrate the ability to handle classified materials. The opportunity is classified under NAICS code 541330 for Engineering Services and PSC code R425 for Professional Engineering/Technical Support. While specific award values are not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, the comprehensive engineering support required suggests a significant and potentially multi-year contract scope focused on maintaining and improving the critical Radar Warning Receiver systems for multiple aircraft platforms.
