About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
The United States Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Special Warfare (SW) Program Office, is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing high gain directional antennas. These antennas are intended to extend the line-of-sight (LOS) range of the currently fielded AN/PRC-163 radios used by Rescue Forces. The required antennas must be compatible with Trellisware's TSM-X MANET system, provide low probability of intercept/low probability of detection capability, and meet other key performance parameters such as transmission range up to 40km and the ability to transmit data for integration into the Common Operational Picture. Responses are due by November 13, 2024 and should include product information, pricing estimates, delivery timelines, and details on the vendor's ability to comply with small business contracting requirements.
Paragraph 2:
This is a pre-solicitation notice and not a solicitation, so there is no set-aside designation. The government is not reimbursing any expenses associated with preparing responses. The contract value and quantity of antennas required are not specified. This market research may be used to develop the acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and/or performance specifications for a future solicitation.

This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS)/Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational purposes and market research only; it does not constitute a solicitation. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparing/submitting information in response to this posting. The information provided may be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and/or performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained within their response as instructed later in this posting.
The United States (US) Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Special Warfare (SW) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible sources capable of providing a single or multiple high gain directional antennas to extend Line of Site (LOS) distances of currently fielded waveforms on the AN/PRC-163 radios frequency band. The antenna(s) should be paired with Trellisware (TSM-X MANET) to enable superior mesh network connectivity and distances. Particular attention must be made to the frequency band, polarization, impedance, voltage standing wave ratio, and gain.
