About this opportunity

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Mexico has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking to increase its understanding of the criminal justice system in Mexico. The purpose of the RFI is to gather information from criminal justice practitioners, civil society organizations, the private sector, and academia to improve the effectiveness of criminal prosecutions and strengthen the capacities of local justice-sector institutions. USAID is particularly interested in responses that address mid- to long-term trends and strategies, and the RFI poses a series of questions related to the most important achievements and challenges of the criminal justice system, priority areas for improvement, opportunities to leverage the skills and expertise of civil society, emerging issues and perspectives, and potential adoption of international best practices. Responses to the RFI are due by September 5, 2024, and USAID will use the information provided to engage with current and potential USAID contractors, grant recipients, diaspora, and private sector entities, and may include it in future solicitations.

The RFI is not set aside for any specific type of business, and no potential incumbents or current contractors are named. The NAICS category for the RFI is 54199 - All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services, and the PSC category is R499 - Support- Professional: Other. The government has not provided any information about award values or budget ranges for this RFI.
