The requirement covers three Positive HF5 Modules (Part No. 001322PVIFB) and three Negative HF5 Modules (Part No. 001322NVIFB), both operating at 50–150 KHZ with IGBT technology, to replace obsolete VIF Type modules in an existing Inductoheat V8M4S inductive heating system serving the Nuclear Thermal Rocket Element Environmental Simulator (NTREES). Lead time is 8 to 10 weeks after order receipt. Acquisition will follow FAR Part 12 commercial item procedures.

VENDORS MUST REFERENCE THE NOTICE ID WHEN SUBMITTING A CAPABILITY STATEMENT.
Synopsis:
NASA/NSSC has a requirement for REPLACEMENT OF INDUCTION HEATING SYSTEM INVERTER POWER MODULES.
NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to INDUCTOHEAT, INC: 32251 N AVIS DR | Madison Heights, Michigan 48071 under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that INDUCTOHEAT, INC is the sole provider of REPLACEMENT OF INDUCTION HEATING SYSTEM INVERTER POWER MODULES.
NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC).
The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial
The NAICS Code for this procurement is 335999.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 9/3/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
