About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security US Coast Guard seeks removal and replacement of rollup doors for Building 42 on Coast Guard Island, with proposals due September 23 and questions due September 17. This procurement is a total small business set-aside under firm fixed-price contract.
Place of performance is Alameda, California (Coast Guard Island). The contractor shall remove the existing damaged steel rolling door assembly with pass door and motor operator, then furnish and install two new 16' × 14' heavy duty steel rolling doors, each with a 3'0" × 7'0" pass door featuring a window and frame, single-sided photo eye with reflector, and custom steel angle photo eye protectors. Doors shall incorporate large curve slats of 22 gauge steel mounted inside on existing jambs, with a reinforced bottom curtain featuring an extruded aluminum foot piece with astragal and a monitored photo eye mounted 6" off the finished floor to meet UL-325 anti-entrapment device requirements. All floor and wall-mounted protectors and photo eye protectors shall be powder-coated safety yellow. Work must be completed between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, unless otherwise authorized. The performance period is 60 days from award, with work commencement required within 15 calendar days of award.

The contractor shall perform the required specified tasks and all implied tasks required by the Statement of Work. Please see the attachments to this announcement for the solicitation and supporting documents.
Questions are due to the contracting officer and contract specialist by 17 September 2026. Questions submitted after this date may not be answered prior to the closing of this solicitation.
