The requirement is for the contractor to Replace Air Handlers and Coils at the Metropolitan Correctional Center located in San Diego, California. The contract is Firm-Fixed Price, NAICS Code 238220.

SYNOPSIS  - This is the second notices and serves as the official synopsis.  The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located in Stockton, California, intends to issue a solicitation with a requirement to Replace Air Handlers and Coils on the federal property at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC), located in San Diego, California. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS 2007) code applicable to this notice is 238220, with a size standard of $14.0 million. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The period of performance is 196 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business. Posting of the solicitation is projected to be on or about February 23, 2011, with a projected bid due-date of March 22, 2011. These dates are subject to change.  Bid, performance, and payment bonds will be required.  Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. No tax exemption certificate will be issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The solicitation will be distributed through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
