About this opportunity

This pre-solicitation notice seeks information from contractors interested in repairing roads damaged by heavy rains within the Apalachicola Forest in northern Florida. The USDA Forest Service Procurement & Property Services intends to issue a solicitation for repair work including clearing vegetation, rock placement, ditch pulling, and reconstructing and replacing eroded roadbeds, limerock, and culverts. Interested vendors must provide company information, point of contact, DUNS number, bonding capacity, and examples of similar work by May 14, 2021 to the listed point of contact in order to be considered for the planned solicitation.

No set-aside designation has been determined for this procurement yet, as that decision will depend on the market research and analysis of responses received. The work involves reconstruction of unpaved forest roads over an estimated timeline consistent with industry standards for such projects. While budget details were not provided, typical contracts for similar road repair work range from $500,000 to $5 million depending on the total linear footage and conditions requiring repair.
