About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Yard is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for rental equipment to support repairs, preservation, and engineering updates to the Coast Guard cutter fleet. The Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice seeks commercial vendors capable of providing a wide range of specialized industrial equipment, including diesel heaters, air compressors, blast equipment, manlifts, forklifts, and mobile cranes. Interested contractors must complete a Market Research Equipment List detailing their equipment capabilities and provide business contact information, including their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) Code. The procurement follows the North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code 532490 with a small business size standard of $40.0 million in average annual receipts. The draft Statement of Work indicates a potential contract structure with one 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. All rental equipment must be less than 10 years old and comply with federal, state, local, and USCG environmental standards. Contractors will be required to provide equipment delivery within 3 days of task order receipt, with 24-hour notice for delivery and pickup. The government will operate under standard working hours from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and contractors must utilize RAPIDGate security credentials for facility access. While this is currently a sources sought notice and not a formal Request for Proposal, it represents a preliminary market research effort to understand potential vendor capabilities for future equipment rental needs.
