About this opportunity
The General Services Administration Public Buildings Service Region 9 is seeking a fully serviced lease for office and related space in Wailuku, Hawaii. The procurement involves approximately 6,093 rentable square feet located within a specific delineated area bounded by W. Vineyard Street, Main Street, S. Market Street, and Illina Street. The government is currently occupying a lease that will expire and is evaluating alternative space options based on economic advantages, considering factors such as relocation costs, tenant improvements, and telecommunications infrastructure. Potential lessors must meet stringent requirements including fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards, and the offered space cannot be located in a 100-year flood plain. Proposers must also be aware of telecommunications prohibitions outlined in Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this lease opportunity, suggesting open competition among potential lessors. The contract includes two potential 5-year renewal options, providing long-term stability for the government tenant. Two parking spaces are included with the lease, and the solicitation is currently open with a due date of January 2, 2025. While specific award value is not disclosed, the lease will be fully serviced, which typically indicates that operational costs are integrated into the rental rate. The procurement follows standard GSA leasing protocols, with an emphasis on finding a cost-effective and compliant office space solution that meets the agency's operational requirements in the Wailuku area.
