About this opportunity
THIS SOLICITATION HAS BEEN CANCELED. The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command sought removal and installation of the No. 5 A/C Chilled Water Pump Motor/Rewind for USS TRIPOLI (LHA-7) at Sasebo, Japan, with quotations due August 4, 2026. Award was restricted to firms holding a current active Master Agreement for Repair and Alteration of Vessels (MARAV) with NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka in the Japan Region.
Place of performance is Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan. Work period runs August 17, 2026 through November 30, 2026, with anticipated award on July 24, 2026 and production completion October 30, 2026. The motor is a 200 horsepower Hansome Energy Systems unit (Model A-507-331, 3600 RPM, 440 VAC, 3-phase, 220 amps) located in Auxiliary Machinery Room No. 2.
The scope includes disassembly, inspection, cleaning, preservation, balancing of rotating assemblies, core loss testing at SRF Production Shop S51, and rewind using Class F conventional insulation rather than the original Sealed Insulation System due to schedule urgency and facility constraints. A new information plate stating "Future Rewind With Sealed Insulation" per NSTM Chapter 300 Rev.11 must be fabricated and installed. Government furnishes specified gaskets, washers, deflectors, and nuts. Quotations submit under SF-18 with proposal breakdowns in Japanese Yen; the contract amount is expressed in U.S. dollars using the FY26 exchange rate of JPY 150.4415 per USD 1.00. The procurement is a single firm-fixed-price job order on an existing MARAV. Pre-proposal questions were due July 29, 2026. NAICS 336611, PSC J999.
