About this opportunity
The United States Air Force through the Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker AFB is seeking contractors to remanufacture seven F118 Oil Lubricating Tanks (NSN: 2840012971536LR, Part Number: 7101M43G05) that serve as reservoirs for main engine oil to provide lubrication and cooling for engine bearings and oil-connected components. This requirement is supported 100% through contract remanufacture due to the Air Force's lack of organic support capability caused by current test stand issues. Contractors must restore unserviceable lubricating oil tanks to serviceable condition using manufacturing processes similar to original production, comply with ISO 9001-2015 quality standards, and follow strict counterfeit prevention protocols by procuring parts exclusively from original equipment manufacturers or authorized distributors. The evaluation will be based primarily on price, with contractors required to hold their offered prices firm for 120 days. The response deadline is September 8, 2025, and the solicitation includes comprehensive reporting requirements including monthly production reports, commercial asset visibility reporting, and shipping discrepancy reports.
This opportunity is not designated as a small business set-aside and will be awarded as a firm fixed price contract with delivery requirements of one tank every 30 days. The contract includes a surge option that allows the government to increase quantities by up to 150 percent if needed, with delivery schedules and pricing to be negotiated separately if this option is exercised. All tanks will be shipped F.O.B. origin to the DLA Distribution Depot in Oklahoma, and contractors must include DD1348-1 shipping documents and meet Buy American Act requirements. The remanufacturing work must restore the tanks to their original life expectancy and includes comprehensive inspection requirements, with contractors receiving degraded or inoperable tanks from the government as furnished property. The contract supports the 421st SCMS's immediate need for F118 engine support within the next year, representing a critical maintenance capability for Air Force operations.
