About this opportunity

The United States Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) at Tinker AFB is seeking a contractor to remanufacture B-1 Asymmetry Brake Sensors for four specific National Stock Numbers (NSNs). The solicitation requires a comprehensive remanufacturing process that includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, reassembly, testing, and finishing to return the sensors to a like-new condition. The contract will be a firm fixed-price Indefinite Delivery Requirements type, structured with a 3-year base period and one 2-year option period. The government plans to issue the solicitation on February 3, 2025, with responses due by March 20, 2025, and an anticipated contract award date of August 20, 2025. Vendors will be required to submit Source Approval Request (SAR) packages, and those not previously qualified must provide technical data requests via official Air Force communication channels.

The procurement is set for full and open competition with no specific set-aside designations. Quantities will range from 14-21 units per part number during both the base and option periods, with a 30-calendar-day delivery timeline per unit and early deliveries acceptable. The contract falls under the NAICS category 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, with a Product Service Code (PSC) of 1680 for Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components. Deliveries will be made to the DLA Distribution Depot Oklahoma located at Tinker AFB. While specific award values are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the comprehensive remanufacturing requirements and multi-year contract structure suggest a potentially significant procurement opportunity for qualified aerospace manufacturing and repair contractors.
