About this opportunity
The Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) at Picatinny Arsenal is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research for the Red Sands Hard Kill Challenge, which focuses on advancing technologies for countering small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) in complex and contested environments. This initiative is led by US Army Central Command (USARCENT) in coordination with the US Army Armaments Center (DEVCOM AC) and aims to develop solutions for defeating Group 1-3 sUAS that pose growing threats to operational forces. The program involves field experiments and assessments conducted at Red Sands in Saudi Arabia, Operation Hard Kill at Fort Walker, Virginia, and other USARCENT and DEVCOM AC locations. Required submission information includes company details, CAGE code, SAM Unique Entity ID, and socio-economic size status using NAICS code 541715. The RFI response deadline is July 15, 2025, with submissions to be sent via email to three specified government contacts. This is strictly for planning purposes with no current solicitation document or government procurement obligation.
No set-aside designation has been applied to this opportunity, making it available to all qualified contractors regardless of size or socio-economic status. The notice does not identify any current incumbents or contractors working on similar counter-UAS technologies. No award values, budget ranges, or funding information has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation phase. The RFI does not specify quantities of goods or services, as this is a research and development initiative focused on technology assessment rather than procurement of specific items. The timeline centers on the technology development and assessment process rather than delivery schedules, with performance locations spanning international and domestic venues. Responses will be evaluated based on companies' capabilities to support counter-sUAS technology development and their ability to engage with military personnel in realistic operational settings.
