About this opportunity
The Defense Information Systems Agency has published a Special Notice for the renewal of REACh and RADMAN software licenses, with responses due by August 22, 2025. This procurement involves specialized software that is exclusively available through WMG and works in conjunction with REACh Detector equipment already owned by the government. The contract structure includes a base period from August 31, 2025 through August 30, 2026, with two additional one-year option periods extending through August 30, 2028. This opportunity is not designated as a set-aside procurement, making it open to all qualified contractors. The software renewal supports critical radioactive material handling and compliance operations within the Defense Information Systems Agency.
The primary objective of this software renewal is to maintain capabilities for multi-channel analysis, isotope determination, curie content assessment for shipments, manifest preparation, and shipment quantity calculations with exemptions. The technology serves the critical safety function of enabling secure radioactive material shipment while minimizing radiological exposure risks to personnel. RADMAN software carries particular significance as it is officially recognized by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as an acceptable compliance tool for regulations 10 CFR 20.311 and 10 CFR 61.55. Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit their responses by the August 22, 2025 deadline. The exclusive availability through WMG suggests that this may be a sole-source procurement arrangement. The multi-year contract structure with option periods provides the agency with flexibility to maintain these essential safety and compliance capabilities over an extended timeframe.
