About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure miscellaneous electric power and distribution equipment under NSN 7H-6150-016927383-X5. The procurement involves a quantity of 3 units to be delivered to two locations: DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania and DLA Distribution San Joaquin in Tracy, California. The government possesses complete technical data package rights with no restrictions on technical data, engineering, tooling, or manufacturing, making this procurement eligible for full and open competition. Technical documentation including military specifications, standards, and qualified products lists can be obtained through the DoD Single Stock Point or downloaded from ASSIST-Online. Interested parties have 15 days from the notice date to identify their capability to satisfy the government's requirement with commercial items, though the government has determined that FAR Part 12 commercial acquisition policies will not be used for this solicitation.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside with a due date of July 31, 2025, providing small businesses an extended timeframe to prepare their proposals. The procurement involves delivering 3 units of electric power equipment, with delivery split between two DLA distribution centers on opposite coasts. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the notice, and no specific contract value range is disclosed. The technical data package version 004 indicates this may be an updated or revised procurement, and the A/RMCs 1 or 2 validation suggests specific acquisition method codes are acceptable for this procurement. The extended timeline from the March 2024 posting date to the July 2025 due date provides substantial preparation time for potential small business contractors to develop their proposals and obtain necessary technical documentation.
