About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center's 78th Security Forces Squadron is seeking information from qualified contractors to establish a contract vehicle for an Integrated Base Defense Security System at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. The procurement involves installation of a Vindicator Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Access Control System (ACS), and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, requiring contractors to provide all necessary labor, personnel, documentation, supervision, tools, equipment, and materials for comprehensive security system implementation. Key requirements include certified Honeywell Vindicator installers, use of US-manufactured equipment and Cisco network switches, employment of US citizen installers with specific Honeywell and Cisco certifications, and compliance with Department of Air Force security regulations. The contractor must also decommission existing equipment and return it to base personnel while coordinating closely with the Base Defense Operation Center for alarm annunciation capabilities. This Request for Information/Sources Sought Notice was posted on July 2, 2025, with a response deadline of July 21, 2025, though non-respondents may still participate in future solicitations.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designation and is open to all qualified contractors meeting the technical requirements. The procurement structure anticipates either an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) or Requirements contract vehicle to support ongoing security system installations across base facilities. The project includes a three-phase implementation approach encompassing installation, training and maintenance, and testing phases, with specific requirements for 72-hour and 30-day continuous operational testing periods. While specific contract values are not disclosed in this sources sought notice, the comprehensive nature of the security system installation suggests a significant procurement supporting multiple facilities at Robins AFB. The solicitation emphasizes that this is purely a market research effort, with the government retaining discretion to modify any future announcement or solicitation based on the information received from potential vendors.
