About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps MCIPAC Regional Contracting Office has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract to NOVO DR INC for radiographic imaging kit parts and maintenance. The procurement is being conducted under FAR part 13.106-1(b) for the repair of faulty components in a NOVO Radiographic Imaging Kit that is no longer operational after previous repair attempts. The contract is classified under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with an estimated delivery date of September 8, 2025. This notice was posted on August 13, 2025, and is specifically for the MCIPAC EOD Section's equipment needs. The procurement falls under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold and involves Controlled Unclassified Information with limited dissemination controls.
The primary purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the contracting community of the government's determination to sole source this requirement due to proprietary software and hardware constraints that limit viable alternatives to the original manufacturer. Interested parties have seven calendar days from the notice date (until August 21, 2025) to contact Nicholas Debbisjohns via email to express their capabilities, though no solicitation document exists and no contract award will be made based on responses to this notice. The government has already determined not to compete this contract, but information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. Contractors wishing to demonstrate their capabilities must provide detailed data concerning their ability to provide comparable services, including pricing and technical data sufficient for government evaluation. The notice explicitly states that it is not a request for expressions of interest, proposals, or quotations, and telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
