The project encompasses a 12-month performance period from contract award with an optional 6-month extension, during which contractors must replace the existing Cutler Hammer GPC 5 system with an Allen Bradley Logix 5562 CPU featuring dual redundant processors, install nine Siemens flow meters and conductivity meters, and establish two process control stations with 35-40 controls per station. Key deliverables include conducting assessments of existing systems, developing system drawings and I/O maps, procuring and installing hardware and software components, performing comprehensive testing, providing complete as-built documentation and Operation & Maintenance manuals, delivering a 3-day on-site training course for up to 12 personnel, and providing a pre-configured laptop. All work must comply with extensive federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA, EPA, NRC, and DOT requirements, with particular emphasis on radiological controls and hazardous energy procedures, with most work performed at Naval Station Norfolk in building CEP-198 except for prefabrication and software development activities.
