About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is procuring two engine radiators (NSN 7R-2935-016948891-SX) as new spare parts through this pre-solicitation notice. This is a flight-critical component for which the government lacks sufficient technical data to support full and open competition, necessitating Government source approval prior to contract award. Only previously approved sources have been solicited for this requirement. Prospective contractors who are not currently approved sources must submit detailed source approval information demonstrating their production experience with the same or similar items, as outlined in the applicable NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Source Approval Information Brochure. The evaluation will prioritize compliance with source approval requirements and the submission of all mandated technical data. The due date for proposals is March 25, 2026, and contractors should note that incomplete submissions lacking all required source approval documentation will not be considered for award.
This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and represents a new spares requirement with a quantity of two units, deliverable FOB origin. The notice does not identify specific incumbent contractors or current approved sources by name. No award value or budget range is provided in the pre-solicitation notice. Contractors should be aware that the Government physically does not possess adequate technical data or drawings for this part, and that the approval timeline for new sources typically cannot accommodate delays in the procurement schedule. If a source approval request is already under evaluation at NAVSUP WSS, bidders should submit a copy of the cover letter documenting previous submission along with their offer to expedite the evaluation process.
