About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 8 is seeking a Network Engineer Technician III to maintain the Integrated Computer Network (ICN) for facility maintenance and police services systems. The procurement is initially planned as a sole source firm-fixed-price contract under the Veterans First Contracting Program, specifically targeting Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). Potential contractors must be verified in the Small Business Administration's Veteran Certification website and capable of supporting network infrastructure at the Viera VA Health Care Center in Florida. Interested parties can submit capability statements via email to Rohan McKenzie at rohan.mckenzie@va.gov by June 9th, 2025, at 1:00 PM EDT. The VA will use evaluation criteria including contractor responsibility, performance history, and the ability to provide services at a fair and reasonable price.
The contract opportunity falls under NAICS code 541513 for Computer Facilities Management Services and is not currently set aside for any specific group, though it is targeted at SDVOSBs. The specific contractor identified for potential sole source award is TNARA Operations Group Incorporated, a verified service-disabled veteran-owned business. The anticipated contract award will not exceed $5 million, and the VA retains full discretion to determine whether to proceed with competitive or sole source procurement based on received capability statements. Interestingly, after the initial pre-solicitation notice, a modification document suggests the VA may convert this to a fully competitive solicitation set aside 100% for SDVOSBs, depending on the capability statements received. The contract's primary objective is to ensure continuous and effective network operations for critical facility systems.
