About this opportunity
The United States Forest Service (USFS) Region 10 is soliciting portable audiometric testing devices and related services to support a Hearing Conservation Program across the Tongass and Chugach National Forests in Alaska. The Forest Service seeks equipment and services that comply with OSHA and ANSI standards and can accommodate testing of both ears at multiple frequencies. Key contract requirements include the provision of 5 hearing test kits and administration of 500 hearing tests annually, along with setup assistance, training for safety specialists, and a HIPAA-compliant data repository for tracking employee hearing test results. The government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions, meaning vendors must submit their best terms in their initial proposals. The solicitation deadline for electronic submissions is January 6, 2026, at 4:30 PM PST, with offers directed to Contracting Officer Andrea Pollock.
This acquisition is unrestricted with no set-aside designations applied, and no incumbent contractor information has been identified. The contract will operate under a base year plus four option years structure, commencing January 31, 2026, and extending through December 31, 2030, providing a five-year performance period. While specific award value information is not detailed in the solicitation notice, the small business size standard for this procurement is $20.5 million under NAICS code 621999. Equipment deliveries and services will be provided to three Alaska locations: Craig, Anchorage, and Cordova. The procurement falls under PSC Category 6515 (Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies) and NAICS Category 621999 (All Other Miscellaneous Ambulatory Health Care Services).
