About this opportunity

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), Healthcare Contracting Division - South (HCD-S) is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of supplying reagents, consumables, and maintenance services for two Quidel Ortho Vision Swift Analyzers at the 96th Medical Group at Elgin Air Force Base, Florida. The procurement includes a comprehensive list of FDA-approved reagents and consumables, such as MTS blood grouping cards, diluents, control panels, and various blood screening kits. Key requirements mandate that all reagents and consumables must be compatible with the specified analyzers, with vendors responsible for providing technical support, routine software upgrades, and readily available field service engineers for on-site repairs. The anticipated NAICS code for this acquisition is 325413 (In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing), with the PSC code 6550 (In Vitro Diagnostic Substances, Reagents, Test Kits And Sets). The pre-solicitation notice was posted on March 27, 2026, with a deadline for submissions or inquiries of April 6, 2026.

This pre-solicitation notice includes no set-aside designations and does not identify any incumbent contractors or current suppliers. The notice does not specify an award value or budget range for the contract. The Government requires vendors to demonstrate capability in supplying all listed reagents and consumables on a scheduled basis, with the specific quantity requirements and contract duration to be determined during the formal solicitation phase. As this is a market research effort, the pre-solicitation notice serves as an initial outreach to establish the competitive landscape and identify qualified sources before the formal solicitation is released.
