About this opportunity

The U.S. Embassy Ankara issued a Questions & Answers clarification on September 10, 2026 for the DCMR Kitchen Renovation solicitation (19TU15-26-Q-3003), with responses due by September 14, 2026. The notice addresses eight bidder questions received as of August 9, 2026 and clarifies scope, material specifications, and site logistics for the kitchen renovation project.

Bidders must submit technical specifications for all materials including kitchen cabinets, countertops, sinks, faucets, and wall and floor tiles; proposed materials such as Vitra/Kale brand antislip tiles are acceptable provided they comply with the Statement of Work technical specifications. The concept design location prevails over contradictory renderings for sink and faucet placement. The refrigerator will be a standard double-door model; the existing dishwasher will remain unchanged and will not be replaced. Garbage disposers under the sink and water treatment systems for the faucet are explicitly excluded from the scope. Debris and waste removal from the site is permitted only during working hours between 08:00 and 17:00. The Embassy did not extend the bidding deadline despite bidder concerns about material lead times; the original schedule remains in effect.
