About this opportunity

The Railroad Retirement Board seeks a contractor to conduct quality assurance reviews of 82 initial disability determinations annually from January through April, with potential follow-up through September, as well as 10 additional cases from November through December. Reviewers must be licensed physicians knowledgeable in relevant regulations who can demonstrate no conflicts of interest. Proposals are due by March 22, 2024 and must detail medical staff qualifications and an ongoing quality control plan, against which the agency will evaluate responses.

There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. As the services relate to reviewing disability claims determinations, the likely NAICS code is 541611 and PSC code R499. The solicitation does not provide budget ranges or identify incumbents, but the scope of 82 annual initial reviews and potential follow-up indicates the award value would support related medical review activities over a one year period.
