About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for the National Dialysis Services Contract (NDSC) to procure dialysis services for Veterans with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) from community-based providers. The Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC), on behalf of the Veterans Health Administration Office of Integrated Veteran Care, seeks contractors to provide, supervise, and monitor outpatient chronic dialysis and AKI services within contractor facilities, as well as provide home dialysis training to Veterans. The contract aims to establish multiple awards creating an expansive network of dialysis providers to serve thousands of Veterans throughout the United States and its territories. The full solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about June 30, 2025, with contractors having an estimated response time of 30 to 45 days to submit their proposals. Contract Specialist Gary T. Basile serves as the primary point of contact, and all updates will be provided through SAM.gov.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors under NAICS code 621492 for Kidney Dialysis Centers. The pre-solicitation notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or provide specific award values or budget ranges for the anticipated contracts. The contract is designed to serve thousands of Veterans across the United States and its territories, indicating a substantial scope of services required. The procurement falls under Product Service Code Q999 for Medical-Other services, reflecting the specialized nature of dialysis care being sought. The multiple award structure suggests the VA intends to contract with numerous providers to ensure comprehensive geographic coverage and adequate capacity to meet Veterans' dialysis needs nationwide.
