The VA Medical Center in Buffalo, NY requires a two (2) year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) IDIQ contract with ForTec Medical, Inc. to provide the required medical procedures to eligible beneficiaries of the VA Medical Center that meet the technical specifications required by the surgical suites.

This non-competitive award is implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b), as it has been deemed that only one source is available to meet this specific requirement. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under FAR Parts 12 and 13.5.

The Buffalo VAMC has a requirement to establish a contract with ForTec Medical, Inc for a two (2) year period of time. Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required lasers that will meet the electrical requirements without the use of an adapter or transformer. Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from ForTec Medical, Inc.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.
