About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 15 is conducting a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought to identify potential qualified sources for on-site spill consulting services at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. The specific requirement involves completing a Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan for the facility located at 4801 Linwood Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri. Companies must qualify under NAICS code 541620 (Environmental Consulting Services) and responses must be submitted via email to george.johnson9@va.gov by Thursday, July 24, 2025. The government emphasizes that this RFI is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, though pricing, capabilities, and market information submissions are encouraged under FAR Part 15.201(e). No evaluation criteria are specified since this is a market research phase, and any future solicitation will be announced separately.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and no incumbent contractors are identified in the notice. The procurement involves a one-time product delivery with an estimated completion date of August 10, 2025, indicating a relatively short performance timeline of approximately three weeks from the anticipated award date. No budget ranges or award values are disclosed in this pre-solicitation phase. The requirement is classified under Product Service Code Q533 (Occupational & Public Health Services), reflecting the environmental compliance nature of the SPCC plan development. Given that this is described as a one-time product rather than ongoing services, the scope appears limited to plan creation and delivery rather than long-term consulting support.
