About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically Veterans Integrated Service Network 16 (VISN 16), is seeking Community Nursing Home (CHN) Services for the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (OBVAMC) covering Louisiana, Arkansas, and East Texas. This pre-solicitation notice indicates a full and open multiple award competition will be conducted under NAICS code 623110 for Skilled Nursing Facilities. Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov and will be evaluated based on their ability to provide comprehensive nursing care services. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on March 21, 2025, with responses due by April 21, 2025. All inquiries must be submitted in writing to aminisha.daniel@va.gov, and interested bidders are instructed to monitor www.sam.gov for the official solicitation posting.
The pre-solicitation notice does not specify a specific set-aside designation, indicating the competition will be open to all qualified contractors. No incumbent contractors or specific award values are mentioned in the current documentation. The solicitation will be structured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) sections 12, 15, and 16.504, suggesting a complex procurement process with potential for multiple contract awards. The geographic scope covers the OBVAMC catchment area, which includes Louisiana, Arkansas, and East Texas, potentially allowing for regional nursing care providers to compete. While specific quantity requirements are not detailed, the multiple award approach suggests the VA anticipates engaging several nursing care facilities to meet their community nursing home service needs.
