About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking qualified contractors to provide repair and modification services for air purification equipment, specifically for National Stock Number (NSN) 7H-4460-015004829-A3, Technical Data Package Version 012. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, as it has determined that acquiring data rights or reverse engineering the part would be economically unfeasible. However, all responsible sources are invited to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements to demonstrate their interest and capability to perform the work. The Government will accept all proposals, quotations, or capability statements submitted within 45 days of the notice publication date (30 days if an award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The Government reserves the right to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received, and such determination is solely within the Government's discretion.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation for small businesses or other special categories. The contract requires delivery of seven units on a FOB Origin basis, meaning the contractor bears transportation costs and risk until delivery. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, nor are there any identified incumbent contractors or current contract holders mentioned. The response deadline for interested parties is March 1, 2026. Contractors should note that while this notice indicates a potential single-source award, the Government may elect to conduct a competitive procurement if deemed appropriate based on the responses and capability statements received during the 45-day consideration period.
