About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in London is seeking to procure a new government vehicle through a competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ) with solicitation number 19UK5624Q0054. The procurement allows vendors to submit a maximum of two offers: one for a factory-built vehicle matching all specifications and another for an acceptably similar in-country/forecourt vehicle with potentially faster delivery. Bidders must electronically submit their proposals to Procurement_Box7@state.gov by 1700 BST on August 23, 2024, including a completed SF-18 form, comprehensive vehicle specifications, and firm fixed pricing. The evaluation will focus on the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offer, with mandatory requirements including automatic transmission, right-hand drive, and smartphone connectivity. All potential bidders must submit any inquiries about the RFQ by August 13, 2024, with the Embassy promising to distribute anonymous written responses to registered bidders.
This solicitation is designated as a Competitive 8(a) set-aside, indicating opportunities for small businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. The place of performance is the United Kingdom, specifically at the U.S. Embassy London. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) is mandatory for any overseas awards exceeding $30,000, with the Embassy recommending early registration due to potential processing times. While specific award value details are not explicitly stated, the procurement is for a single van-type government vehicle. The NAICS category for this procurement is Motor Vehicle Manufacturing (3361), and the Product Service Code is H923 for ground effect vehicles and motor vehicles. Interested vendors must carefully review all attached documents, including FAR clauses and telecommunications equipment representations, to ensure full compliance with the solicitation requirements.
