About this opportunity

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, part of the National Institutes of Health, intends to solicit a comprehensive 12-month Full Care Service Agreement for a Biacore T200 Surface Plasmon Resonance instrument, with responses due by July 30, 2026. The requirement is sole-source to the original equipment manufacturer or authorized representative, as the system requires proprietary hardware, replacement parts, diagnostic software, and manufacturer-specific service procedures that only the original manufacturer is qualified to provide.

Work is performed on-site at the NIH facility located at 9000 Rockville Pike, Building 8, Room 421, Bethesda, Maryland 20892, supporting the Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry. The service agreement shall include unlimited on-site corrective maintenance and repair visits with an eight-hour emergency response time for telephone or remote support and a three-day on-site response window for emergency repairs. The contractor must provide one scheduled preventive maintenance visit during the coverage period that includes comprehensive system inspection, calibration, performance verification, full system diagnostics using manufacturer-proprietary software, and replacement of critical wear components as identified. All labor, travel, and genuine manufacturer replacement parts required to maintain the instrument within manufacturer specifications are included. Service must be performed by manufacturer-trained and certified service engineers. The data generated by this instrument support NIH-funded studies and scientific publications.
