About this opportunity

The United States Coast Guard is procuring an Alodine Tank System through solicitation 70Z03825QH0000121, which serves as both the announcement and the request for quotation without a separate written solicitation being issued. The system must consist of four tanks (one Etch Tank, two Rinse Tanks, and one Alodine Tank) with specific dimensions of 34"L x 24"W x 26"D each, constructed from polypropylene with secondary catch containment, circulation pumps, pneumatic drain systems, and electrical components positioned above 18 inches from the hangar floor. All parts must be factory new with industry standard warranties and comply with EPA 40 CFR 264.175 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200 regulations. The evaluation will be conducted on a lowest price, technically acceptable basis, with technical acceptability determined through a pass/fail assessment of the vendor's ability to meet the salient characteristics outlined in the specifications. The original deadline of September 10, 2025 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time was extended to September 11, 2025, with responses to vendor questions posted on September 10, 2025, clarifying that installation, start-up, training, and unloading services are not included in the procurement scope.

This opportunity is designated as a 100% set-aside for small businesses under NAICS code 332813 (Electroplating, Plating, Polishing, Anodizing, and Coloring) with a size standard of 500 employees. The procurement calls for a single Alodine Tank System unit with the total system length not exceeding 11 feet, to be delivered to the Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. No incumbent contractor or current contract holder is identified in the solicitation documents, and no specific budget range or award value estimates are provided. The contractor must furnish a Certificate of Conformance in accordance with FAR clause 52.246-15 and provide full traceability documentation for all parts, as the equipment may potentially interface with Coast Guard aircraft operations. A firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated to be awarded competitively based on this solicitation, with payment to be processed electronically following delivery verification and receipt of proper invoicing documentation.
