About this opportunity
The U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, is issuing a sole-source solicitation for centrifugal pump units, with quotes due November 9, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern. The acquisition is unrestricted (No Set-Aside Used), but the Government intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to EVAC North America and/or its authorized distributors, which it believes are the only sources able to offer these units. Other concerns with the required expertise may submit capability information within two calendar days of the November 4, 2026 posting.
The notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items under FAR Overhaul Part 12, issued as RFQ 70ZU0127QAF004. The Coast Guard intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order with no down or advance payments. Quotes must be emailed to Nina Crosby at Nina.m.crosby@uscg.mil. Place of performance is listed as the United States. Submissions must include a letter from the OEM verifying the offeror is an authorized distributor and that genuine OEM parts will be supplied.
The item is pump part number 5700243, NSN 4320-01-273-9350, under PSC 4320 and NAICS 333996. The attached Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition, as summarized by GovTribe AI, covers six units at an estimated $69,927.30 total ($11,654.55 each). The justification describes these as sewage discharge pumps for 210 WMEC vessels, listed on Allowance Parts List 01585680B3. It states that the original procurement included no manufacturer drawings or detailed specifications, and that alternative pumps would require re-engineering and possible electrical or piping modifications. No incumbent is named.
Evaluation is best value, based on meeting all technical requirements, meeting the required time frame, and price. The notice assigns no weighting to these factors.
