About this opportunity
The National Institute of Standards and Technology seeks quotation for one pulse generator unit, with proposals due August 17 and questions due August 13, both at 5:00 PM Mountain Time. This is an unrestricted RFQ for commercial products conducted under FAR Part 12.
Place of performance and acceptance is NIST Boulder, Colorado, 325 Broadway. The pulse generator must deliver maximum output exceeding 10 kV into 50 Ohms with 100 picosecond rise time and 3 nanosecond decay time, operate at 1 kHz repetition rate with single shot mode capability, include N-type output connector with dual internal and external trigger options, and fit a standard 19-inch rack at 3U height weighing no more than 7.5 kilograms. The unit must operate on standard 100-240 VAC 50-60 Hz power at less than 5 amps. No installation, training, maintenance, calibration, or on-site support is required; base manufacturer warranty is acceptable. Delivery is required within 7 business days of award.
At award, the vendor must possess an active Unique Entity Identification Number on SAM.gov and an Export Control Classification Number. The NAICS code is 334515 (Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals) with a small business size standard of 750 employees. PSC code is 6625. Quotations must be firm fixed price divided into three volumes (Technical, Price, and Terms and Conditions). Award will be made to the responsible quoter offering the lowest priced, technically acceptable quotation. Quoters must maintain active SAM.gov registration at submission and throughout performance. (I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
(II) The solicitation number is NB672020-26-02355 and this solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is being solicited on an unrestricted basis.
(III) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2026-01 dated 03/13/2026, and the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO), supplemented by Department of Commerce Acquisition Policy.
(IV) The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334515 – Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals with a small business size standard of 750 employees.
(V) All quoters shall provide a firm-fixed-price quotation for the following line item(s):
