About this opportunity

NASA's National Shared Services Center announced a sole-source procurement intent for prototyping and technology transfer services on September 24, 2026, with a capability statement deadline of September 29, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. Central Time. The agency intends to award a sole-source contract to New York Institute of Technology under FAR 12.102(a), but will consider written capability statements from interested organizations to determine whether competitive procurement is warranted. Performance will be located at NASA Headquarters.

The effort requires the contractor to collaborate with NASA's Technology Transfer program to select 5–7 NASA patented technologies, develop minimally viable prototypes using only NASA patented information, and recruit and manage student teams to build deliverables. The contractor must deliver working demonstration prototypes in carrying cases shipped to technology-specific NASA locations, supporting documentation with photos and videos, all design and software files, regular progress meetings with NASA management, 30 days of post-delivery support, and formal training to relevant NASA personnel. The contract runs October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.

Eligible contractors must demonstrate at least three years of direct experience building and delivering demonstration model prototypes to NASA's Technology Transfer program, progressive experience working with NASA T2 management on demonstration models of NASA intellectual property, and the capability to manage student groups building hardware. Vendors must submit capability statements only—not quotes—in writing to Cody Guidry (Cody.d.guidry@nasa.gov) referencing the notice ID. NAICS 541715; PSC AJ13.
