About this file
This is a Statement of Work for prototyping and technology transfer of NASA technologies under NASA's Technology Transfer (T2) program.
The contractor shall collaborate with NASA T2 program management to select 5-7 NASA patented technologies for prototyping and develop minimally viable prototypes using only NASA patented information. The contractor must recruit, train, and manage student teams to build deliverables, ensuring prototypes operate independently of contractor resources. Key deliverables include working demonstration prototypes in appropriate carrying cases shipped to technology-specific NASA locations, supporting documentation with photos and videos, all files used for prototype creation (software, CAD drawings), regular progress meetings with NASA management, 30 days of post-delivery support for configuration and troubleshooting questions, and formal presentation and training on prototype demonstration to relevant NASA personnel.
The contractor must possess at least three years of direct experience building and delivering demonstration model prototypes to NASA's Technology Transfer program, demonstrated progressive experience working with NASA T2 management to create demonstration models of NASA intellectual property, and necessary equipment, expertise, and management oversight of student groups building hardware. The contract performance period runs from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. The effort supports NASA T2's objectives to increase commercial viability of patented NASA technologies, enable student engagement in real-world activities, and enhance technological innovation through federal lab and academia cooperation.
