About this opportunity

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Procurement Operations (OPO), Federal Protective Service (FPS), Acquisitions Division (AD) has issued a Special Notice to extend the ordering period of task order 70RFP220FREC00119 with Master Security Company, LLC for Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services in the Washington, DC area. This extension is being proposed on a basis other than full and open competition.

The purpose of this extension is to provide continued protective security officer services in the Washington, DC area to allow time for DHS to award and transition to a follow-on effort for these services. The extension is for a 6-month period from 4/1/2024 to 9/30/2024 at an estimated value of $3.8 million. Master Security Company, LLC is the only contractor capable of immediately providing the required PSO services without delay or disruption due to the extensive training, licensing, and transition requirements. A price analysis determined the anticipated costs to be fair and reasonable compared to similar PSO service contracts in the region. This extension is necessary to complete the solicitation process and award a follow-on task order under the new Multiple Award Contract (MAC) awarded in December 2023, with a planned performance start date of 10/1/2024.
